Orientation & Family Programs staff serve as advisors to two student organizations at UNCG.
The University Marshals
To serve as a University Marshal is a great honor, requiring the distinction of being on the Chancellor’s List (3.65 GPA or higher) and an invitation to join the membership following an application process. University Marshals serve as hosts/hostesses at major functions, such as Convocation and Commencement in May and December. University Marshals also have the opportunity to undertake other service to the University.
Alpha Lambda Delta
Founded in 1924, Alpha Lambda Delta is a national honor society in which only full-time, degree-seeking, first-year students who have achieved at least a 3.5 GPA in the first semester of study are invited to become members. Once inducted, members may join the UNCG chapter in academic and social service opportunities.
