Q. Does UNCG offer student health insurance?
A. UNCG helped design and endorses a student health insurance plan offered through Pearce & Pearce, Inc. The Student Health Insurance Plan works in partnership with the University Health Fee to provide seamless health care at reasonable cost to students. You’ll find more information on this plan at http://www.studentinsurance.com/PearceSite/Schools/NC/UNCG/.
Q. My student is sick and needs to see a doctor; what should he/she do?
A. Student Health Services uses an appointment system. Your student should call (336)334-5334 during regular hours to make an appointment. For sudden illnesses, injuries, or unexpected problems, students may come in without an appointment and based on their needs, a nurse will assign them to the next available provider. If students are in need of immediate care, they should call ahead and clearly communicate their needs to the receptionist.
