Rawkin’ Welcome Week 2009 Schedule

FREE RAWKS FOR THE FIRST 50 STUDENTS AT SELECT EVENTS

Residence Hall Move-In
Go to your assigned residence hall to check-in.  Parking is limited and at a premium.  Move your materials quickly and then park your car out of the flow of traffic. There may be limited assistance for you at move-in, so you should plan to move yourself in on your own.  We suggest you bring a hand-truck or cart of some kind – it will help!

Wednesday Friday 19:
  • Move in date for Grogan, Phillips-Hawkins, Weil-Winfield, South Spencer, Guilford, and Mary Foust Residence Halls.
    8:00 am–5:00 pm
Thursday August 20:
  • Move in date for Reynolds, Moore-Strong, Quad, and Tower Village Residence Halls.
    8:00am-5:00pm
Friday August 21:
  • Move in date for Spring Garden Apartments, Cone, Ragsdale-Mendenhall and North Spencer Residence Halls.

  • Freshmen Summer Reading Project- Group Discussion & Luncheon

    Did you pick up a copy of My Freshman Year by Rebekah Nathan at SOAR?  If so, come join your small group to talk about this book! Don't forget to bring your book! After the discussion, enjoy a free lunch and receive your Freshman Summer Reading Project t-shirt!

    Take a free roundtrip shuttle to pick up last minute items at our local Wal-Mart Supercenter!

    Meet and mingle with other new and returning out-of-state students! Have the opportunity to talk with returning students who have already made a successful transition to life at UNCG. Begin to build friendships based on your common bond - that you are not from North Carolina!
